Pubic hair?!? Do you mean that literally? I haven’t encountered enough of these low-rise jeans to run into that particular surprise. I would think their underwear, even thongs, would cover it. Plus, I get the impression that many women are trimming their pubic hair to the point that there wouldn’t be much to see. I’m just trying to understand the mechanics of jeans low enough to flash pubic hair. ---

Sure I’m getting a little old (29), and I’m not the thinnest person in the world, but that shouldn’t forbid me from having a few trendy clothes. ---

Yeah, **Clark** , I’ve seen a few people running around in pants so low I could see the top of the pubic bone, so I can only assume that the wearers had waxed beforehand. They’re, umm, interesting. ---

But you could also safely assume that 98% of the propositions would be with a view to bonking your brains out. Conversely, if you were to dress in a far more tasteful, and classy kinda way, you’ll get asked out just as much - but you’ll be sending a different signal, and the guys who approach you, will by and large, be classier too. ---

I’m very particular about these things. I’ve seen several different designs of jeans that aren’t low rise. Express has regular jeans, that I know for sure. I’m in Sears with my mom circa 1982 (I’d be about 11) and I see those sweaters that were all the rage at the time: white or black with a rainbow going from one wrist, across the chest, then down to the other wrist. Mom: “Those are cute.” Me: “I want the black one!” Mom: “You can’t have it. It’s not appropriate for little girls to wear black.” Yeah I groused about it at the time (and it seems almost Victorian now!), but jeez…was that so hard? Why can’t a parent say “It’s not appropriate for a little girl to wear a backless halter top, leopard-print mini-skirt and high-heel hooker sandals”? Hell, it’s not appropriate for ADULTS to wear that for the most part. Re: the pubic hair/thongs showing. I was at the SF Giants game a couple weeks ago and some woman sitting in front of us was wearing low-rise jeans WITH THE WAISTBAND CUT OFF, a thong that was apparently a square of lace in the front connected to the back by a thin string (which nicely divided her flab into distinct rolls), and (what I can only assume was supposed to be a belt) some sort of stretchy scarflike piece of fabric halfway between her knees and waist. (!!!) After a bit she and her husband/date/pimp (?) realised they were in the wrong seats and got up and left. My husband sorta screwed up his face and said “What the? Why??! But…I. Um. Don’t understand?!?” ---
