After a muchly wasted day yesterday, I am actually doing chores today! Dishes are churnin’ away in the washer, as is the 2nd load of laundry, and I am tring to mark stuff off the dread white board of stuff I gotta do! Need more caffeine, though. ---

Late blurf. The last few weeks I’ve been trying to find a venue for a one day juggling mini-workshop-festival-show-thang. We ones to host one in town at the stoodint unions building, free ‘cos it was officially run by stoodints, though the actual organising was largely done by Proper Growed Ups© associated with the club. Unfortunately, the stoodint union has decided to play mean, and appears to have decided it no longer wants all these messy Ol’ stoodints around (and let’s be honest, who does?) so we can no longer have the venue without paying commercial rates. It is not a cheap commercial venue. It turns out, it’s really quite hard. It’s not being made any easier by the fact that the guy who basically spurred me on to this, and is mad keen on trying to organise it, doesn’t seem to have any idea what the event should actually _be_. I think trying to recreate the previous event as close as possible, at least for the first year, which I did help out at, is probably the best way of a) not messing it all up, and b) getting people to actually show up. Unfortunately he never went to any of the old events (seeing as how the last one was before he moved to the Yoo Kay) and he keeps looking at, and getting really excited by, weird and tiny venues that I already know, that are totally unsuitable. He’s also starting a new job, one that’s pretty legendary for leaving no free time, this week. I like the guy, and I really want to get the event restarted, but I’m worried I’m going to be left organising the whole thing while he gets all disappointed at me that it isn’t what he wanted. ---

Howdy Y’all! I’ve been kind of productive today. I went to the liberry, did some errands, and washed and dried a big load of towels etc. My sinuses are ick today so Ima stay inside. Stoopid ragweed! I got an email from a former coworker at the job before this one. He said he’s had nothing to do for 3 days - the boss says it’s a slow time of year - and he just hired 3 more people. So there are a bunch of people sitting around doing nothing. \*Soooooooooooooooo \*glad I got out of there. At least here when I have nothing to do - like now, since the boss is at lunch and I finished what he left me - here I have intrarwebz access. \*\*FCD \*\*called a bit ago - he’s getting a substantial short-term-disability check to cover the months when he hasn’t been able to work a full schedule. It’ll go a long way to beating down VISA, plus some will go into the bank, just because. Add that to my pension check, which I’ll get tomorrow, and payday on Thurs - I see a few extra bucks going into savings. Which is a nice feeling. It makes me worry less about the day when another appliance dies or when the car has to be replaced, assuming those things happen after I stop working. I really wish we’d been more diligent about saving way back when. But when you’re in your 30s and 40s, there seems to be plenty of time. There isn’t. But lately we’re doing better about tucking cash away. Hope it’s enough… ---

Howdy Y’all! Looks like there’s storms in the area. I hope so. The temp has cooled down from 95 to 90 in the past hour and ‘tis all cloudy out. Dindin is in the midst of bein’ created. I have the peas, butterbeans, and okra cooked. The N.O.T. are ready to be cooked and stewed and the rolls are actually ready to bake whenever. I made the executive decision that the poke chops will be baked in the convection oven rather than grilled as I don’t want to stand outside and grill. Thus when OYKW arrives they will get baked and the other stuff readied. I’m kinda hongry in case y’all didn’t figure that out already. 😃 **gotti** good luck with the vampires. ---

That was probably my fastest lab visit of all time. I had the presence of mind to suck down a bottle of water before leaving home, so I had nice happy non-dehydrated veins. And the tech did not say “Blah-blah-blah!” More bits and pieces of my transformational journey have been shipped. My mailman will be busy on Thursday. ---

Dindin has been ingested. **Spidey** fyi we et at five-thrity. We do eat around fiveish a lot but sometimes a little later but rarely later than six. Just who we are. I’m havin’ some chawklit chip cookies now. ---

Most people who get laid off get my sympathies but otherwise I say suck it up as most states are at will employment. However, as I recall you were in the process of switching from ST to LT disability, which means that it’s worth looking at it a bit closer. ---

**Sunny,** bad news, hope things work out for you and DH. Been an interesting 24 hours. Downloaded a book (600 pages) that I read till midnight and then got up at 5am to read it some more. In between I did some laundry and my washer stopped working in the middle of the wash cycle (have no idea why). It’s 20 years old and it may need replacing, and the dishwasher is acting up, so a Best Buy trip with mucho credit debt seems to be in my near future. Also had my bi-annual dental checkup, so that they can scrape/polish/floss my teeth and then the dentist does her 60-seconds of work to tell me I have no cavities. Well, I guess that is a good thing. And I didn’t make it to the bank or the grocery store today because I was reading the 0-(_&_& book (it wasn’t a bad book to read, but it nothing to advance the series timeline, which irritated me). Think I will be heading off to bed in the not to distant future… ---
