How about if the conservatives picked up an additional seat or two on The SCOTUS? My favorite scenario would be Bill Clinton becoming a Republican, endorsing Jeb Bush (or Condi Rice) for President and then becoming Secretary of State (note that Clinton and President Bush have been very buddy, buddy lately I’m not so sure that Bill really wants Hillary to be President). ---

I’m sure the same people that threatened last time would do so again, for the same reasons, and if it happened, which I don’t think it would, the same people wouldn’t, for the same reasons they didn’t. ---

I was thinking just today about Jeb running for President in three short years. Sigh. Can you imagine? When did we become a country that would allow the Bush family, of all people, to become a political dynasty? The Bushes are the new Kennedys. Without all the sex. I hadn’t even considered it up to this point, but when I consider the worst-case scenario, I’d think really hard about moving. I’m thinking maybe Canada would be full by the time I tried, so… hey! Mexico’s just down the street from me, practically! ---

Oh, and according to Time, Bush and Clinton _have_ been friendly as of late, but still have very real differences in political matters. ---

You misunderestimate the power of G.W. Bush, Sunspace. 😛 I know several people that are in the midst of application for Canadian residency. Apparently it’s like getting into an Ivy-league college or something. ---

I wouldn’t go to Canada, but that’s mainly because I’m already elsewhere.\* Electing Jeb sure wouldn’t be much of a pursuasive argument for ever coming back, though. \*actually, I left the US back in '95. The elections were simply a sign that there I was where I belonged. ---

Well, I’m Canadian, so I wouldn’t have to move to Canada. However, I have been pondering the idea of working in the States. With a Bush dynasty, I think that plan would get put on the back burner. ---

I moved to Canada after Bush got elected the first time. Does that count? Probably not, since I was moving _back_ to Canada, and it had nothing to do with politics. Ah well. ---

In Florida, felons can not vote. I assume if you can’t vote you can’t run for office. Now we just need to dig up some dirt on Jeb. ---

As for me, I’m likely to be in Canada by that time anyway… but a Bush sequel would definitely enhance my great appreciation for the country. ---
