I wouldn’t move, but I’d seriously consider trying to start up a new, true-Centrist political party. (Our motto: “Make Love AND War.”) Y’know, give people who didn’t want to vote for Republicans a choice besides voting for Democrats. I spent some time in Canada a few years ago and let me say, I really did not want to come back. I love it there and felt so much more like I belonged. Believe me – I would be living and working there if there was any way on earth I could. But getting citizenship is very difficult and I have neither the money or the qualifications. My only hope of getting into Canada would be to marry a very rich Canadian. If I end up breaking up with the current bf, I may seriously consider it. (And yeah, I know about the Marry an American site. ) 😛 ---

Jeb scares me more than Dubya. He’s slick, sneakier and harder to read. Environmentally he could be just a scosh better than Dubya, then again he’s slick so maybe not. That whole buying up of the oil-drilling contracts of the FL coast was just to help him win his second term so he could help Dubya win his second term. Eh, if I did leave the country I probably wouldn’t go to Canada, I think I am much more used to the tropics. ---

If I was of retirement age I’d go in a heartbeat. It would make it more problematic to visit kids and grandkids but it would be well worth it. For me, it would only be about 90 miles anyway. ---

The comma I placed in between “not many, I don’t think” divide the sentence into two clauses. Each clause being a negative clause because each clause has one negative. I love Canada and all its bacon & Maple syrupy goodness. To me, Canada is the next state. I’d move there in a heartbeat if I could find some rich, funny, witty, semi-good looking Canuck to support me (and Mr.Ujest, he wants to be a kept man) in a lifestyle that I’d like to become accoustomed too. But Anne Murray has to GO. Look the US has Celine now, you have to jettison Anne. ---

I used to live 200 miles south of you and had colder winters there than I have now only 300 miles south of Canada. It’s those damned Prairie and Maritime provinces (not to mention the northern territories) that you have to look out for. I’d love to live in the shadow of Vancouver. ---
