It seems that Reefer Madness is taking hold in Israel.
And if the ‘Underground Church of the Most High’ is to be believed, Moses was taking The Pot.

Apos, could you explain what you mean by theological legitimacy?
Czar, actually it is the poor in spirit who are blessed.
…and here’s the B-side
OK, on a more serious note, I’d like to agre with a few posters here that Jesus’ drug historyis irelevant. I never thought of drug use itself as a sin. Even drug abuse, theoretically, isn’t. However, many drugs tend to cause ancillilary [sp?] wrongs.
As does abject poverty, but the Bible blesses that.
Are you sure you know what you’re talking about, there, Czar?
First of all let me say that I’m a regular pot smoker and am very liberal on the subject of Marijuana Prohibition. But I’ve got to say that the High Times Article on which this story is based is a real stretch. Weed is quite a bit stronger than it was just a few decades ago. The stuff I have now is some damn good smoke, but I doubt that rubbing it on my skin would have any effect at all. Chewing on good weed will only get you a little buzz (tried that). The High Times article mentions that it is a “cannibis extract”, so maybe it contains a high concentration of THC. But personally I doubt it. Unless the Bible specifically says JC was tokin’ it up with the Apostles, I don’t see how the article belongs in anything other than history or science publications. It certainly has no relevance to the modern day world. High Times should stick to there cool pictures and leave the bible interperting to the pros-like the members of this board.
Jesus Christ: “I did not inhale”
Damn, the article doesn’t belong in a respectable magazine-just the cannibis info.
—Apos, could you explain what you mean by theological legitimacy?—
Was this repeat question a mistake on your part Lib?
If not, that doesn’t bode well…
—I would welcome a cite, either on that, or on whether THC and related cannibinols would be absorbed into the skin when mixed with oil.—
Someone should do one better than a cite. Someone should do an experiment.
A simple and legal one for a Amsterdam-based Doper (hahaha!) to perform. Any takers?
Pot is an herb. Gen 1:30 says we can eat it.
What did Jesus drive? Everbody, including Jesus, drove a Honda. Act 7:57
Act 7:57
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
Is this a parable about driving under the influence? Man this thread is really helping me to understand the Bible better.
caracal WWGD(rive) is not part of this thread I was responding to superfreakicus question.
The bible does go on to explain other foods we should not eat (i.e. pork, catfish, etc.) but it does not address this herb thing.
Scott Thompson(in KITH skit):
“If Jesus had turned hay into pot instead of water into wine, we’d all be smoking up at communion”
