I lived in DC in the late 90s (and I still live in the area). Monica Lewinsky was a very common sight in Adams-Morgan nightclubs, especially Cashion’s. I ate lunch at a sidewalk cafe on K Street once (where all DC’s major lobby firms and law offices are located) and she walked by, within a few feet of my table. She doesn’t always photograph well, especially recently, but that day in 1997, she looked incredible. Larry King also walked by, which kinda killed the vibe. **Damn you, Larry King!** DC isn’t known for the level of sexy celebrity that New York, LA and Miami enjoy, I’m afraid. By our debased stndards, Monica’s quite the hottie. ---

Hasn’t anyone here heard of the idea of different men having different tastes in women? “Hottie” is a subjective term. Not every man is attracted to a toothpick. ---

Right, there may well have been some of that, SNL in particular depending on sight gags as part of TV’s modus operandi, but nearly all of the comments I ever heard about Tripp’s ugliness referred to the interior kind. ---

I’ve seen ugly photos of both and I’ve seen attractive photos of both. I found the attractive photos reasonably attractive and understand that you can take a bad photo of just about anyone. I don’t know that it is reasonable to discount the ugly photos and accept the attractive ones, but I feel that it is nicer to do so. When there was a recent thread that discussed Anee Coulter’s attractiveness (I think it was asking for opinions on whom you’d rather be stuck on a desert island with: her or Leni Reifenstahl) I saw photos supporting her challenging her attractiveness. I saw some I thought were reasonably attractive and I saw some that were pretty awful. Though I think I would dislike her quite a bit based on the things I’ve heard her say, I still gave her ‘good’ photos more credence than the ‘bad’ ones. In the end I think it matters a lot more what is inside a person than what is on the outside. ---

I don’t think Bill Clinton could get anyone in the world. Brad Pitt can get anyone in the world. Bill Clinton had to take the available female his wife and enemies wouldn’t catch him with before it even started, and he had to take the female least likely to stab him in the back before it even started. If he’d gone for the hottest available female, he’d have gotten one blowjob and it would be curtains. What’s weird is that when Angelina Jolie was sleeping with Billy Bob, everyone hated her and now that she’s being normal and sleeping with the hottest male, everyone feels much more comfortable with her. I guess she’s the female version of the President in terms of owing a debt to society to maximize your potential in sex partners. Either way, if she fucked George Bush I bet we’d really hate her again for squandering her gifts on someone ugly.
