# If no more clock changing why freeze in DAYLIGHT time?

Here, sunrise would be 9 AM if DST were in effect in Winter… and you’d still have to drive home in the dark. [**Thudlow\_Boink** answered in the other DST thread:](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/spring-ahead-sun-mar-12-2023-2-00am-time-change-of-clocks/980980/46)

And of course, sundown in Summer will be after 21:00 here; so it will still be daylight when we go to bed.
