If one makes a really silly title typing mistake as I did here [Tooth ads often say that their product will massage gums - Straight Dope Message Board](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=669428)

Is it better to post anew, try and repair down in replies, ask a moderator to repair it, or something else entirely such as forget the whole subject?

Click the red triangle above your join date and tell a mod what the problem is. Done.

Just ask a mod to fix it (by reporting your own post, it’s the red-triangle traffic sign). Takes up less space than opening another thread and doesn’t run the risk of people responding to both threads.
