I’d have committed suicide. Seriously–for a while my withdrawal was so horrible that I had to continually distract myself from certain unwanted thoughts. And the Internet is the only thing that has worked for that.

I checked “watching television,” but it would probably be something I rented from a video store . . . on a VHS tape again. Or I might be doing some artwork.

Definitely reading or researching something random. Before we had common access to the internet I was always taking trips to multiple libraries to find the only copy of a book in the area, only to find it had been lost or mangled or become stinky and yellow.
