# If you are inclined to sell your blood where can you sell it, and how much is it typically worth?

Just curious. I donate to the Red Cross via my membership in Rotary, but if I was inclined to sell it how much is blood typically worth for the various varieties? Who typically buys blood in a given area?

AFAIK, it’s not blood that they pay for, it’s plasma. Several years ago when I knew someone that did it, she would get something like 25-30 bucks a pop and could go a couple of times a week. Googling “plasma donation chicago” will give you a list of different centers. They call it donating but they do pay for it.
