The coloring book thing is hilarious! My only experience with Cindy was in her public scream-preaching persona. Maybe if I’d dealt with her in another context, I would have had the same experience you did. Incidentally, on one of my Jed encounters, he didn’t have his Bible (?!) and asked if anyone had one. I had my NASB handy & asked if that would do. (I figured him for a KJV Only guy) He said that was fine, found his passage, made his point, handed it back & thanked me. ---

Well, hey, if you go to public school in the US, you don’t even have access to a “zone.” Such a zone at US universities is a traditional solution to the private/educational uses of the campus and is most often used for soap boxing. ---

It’s actually a great way for the university to avoid dealing with disgruntled students/parents. It sounds very open minded, and gives them a way to corral most demonstrations/special interest groups/people that want to yell in a couple of designated spots where they and the crowds they generate can be easily monitored. The term “free speech zone” really means more of “demonstration zone” in practice. You are certainly allowed to express your viewpoint anywhere you want on campus, in whatever way you wish that doesn’t break any laws, but if you are going to do so in a way that is going to attract a crowd, they’d prefer you do it in one of their designated spots. ---
