I used to think I would ask “On what date will I die?” Since the answer would be the absolute truth, I would effectively become invincible until that date. Then I realized that not being dead is a low standard. I could become completely incapacitated without dying. I’m guessing that any being that had the power to answer my question would also have the sense of humor to have me hit by a bus and fall into a coma immediately after giving me the answer. So now I would ask “What can I do to make my wife horny on demand?” ---

I suppose I should ask a very deep philosophical or religious question, but having just read a book on the subject, the first question which sprang to mind was “Who killed JonBenet Ramsey?” I have a gut feeling it was not the parents, but everything about the case is so baffling. ---

My real father was married about six times. I am the result of the fourth marriage as best we can tell (the marriage, not that I am his daughter, that’s not in doubt). Apparently a son was born five years before me. My bio dad always claimed the son was not his. Knowing far more about my father (to his detriment), I have always wondered. So my question would be two part: Was that son my father’s child? And if the answer is yes, where is he? I’ve always wondered . . . he would be about 53 now. ---
