Wow, this is really good, but it depends on how much alcohol is available on the island. If plenty, probably **Biggirl**. If not? Hmmm … maybe **Persephone** or **Geobabe**. 'Course, I’m only thinking of people who are always nice to me (except for **Biggirl** ). 😉 The second slot I have to keep open for my wife, since she’d kill me if I didn’t. ---

I will take the professor and the skipper. I know it isn’t quite about the OP but I would eat the skipper and have the professor make something interesting out of his bones. Perhaps we can inflate the skippers dead body and use it as a life raft so we can get to safety. I think I would like His4ever and DavidB on the island with me. I would go hide out and watch them kill eachother from afar. Mwuahhahahahaha ---

Which ever dopers have the following skills. One should be able to build stuff, including tools to build stuff, so I don’t have to live in a cave. Hopefully this person can catch, clean and cook the food that is available. The other should have what ever skills it takes **TO GET THE HELL OFF THIS ISLAND!!!** ---

Hmmm. If I pick **Polycarp** , I’d have to pick **Skulldigger** as well. If I pick **Scotticher** , she’ll never let me hear the end of it if I don’t pick **Johnny L.A.**. 😉 **Libertarian** ’s married, so I wouldn’t feel right picking him without his wife, although he and **vanilla** could be fun. I think **Qadgop** would be interesting and practical, and I’m assuming this island would meet **cuaumetoc** ’s requirements for a tropical location. **Fairy Chat Mom** and **Dinsdale** strike me as having good common sense. I’ve also got conversations started with **homebrew** and **lel** that I’d love to finish (I will reply to your e-mails one of these days!). Then there’s a bunch of Dopers down in the D.C. area, including **gobear** , **ultrafilter** , and **Jonathan Chance** who I like already and would like to get to know better. **Steve Wright** would also be interesting. This is hard! In the end, I’d have to go with **Kal** and **Washte** , because I know all three of us would get along and I like the way their minds work. I’ll also point out that limiting myself to two Dopers is too hard! So, I’m another masochist who looks at thread like this. Despite my habit of going off on weird theological tangents, I am very practical and down-to-earth and can build a pretty wide variety of things, including an Aran sweater, a custom designed bookcase, and a printed circuit board. I figure given my religion, knowing a bit of carpentry’s not a bad thing. Any takers? CJ ---
