“How do I bootstrap humanity’s current level of technology towards the goal of developing faster-than-light spaceships?” Even though I am certain I could never complete the process myself, the early steps would hopefully be of great use in a wide variety of disciplines. And even if it’s something like “You can’t,” at least it’s the sort of question that’s not going to crush my spirit if it says no. ---
