A show about putting together a tv show (ala Larry Sanders) where the whole episode is the prepping for the taping of the show they’re putting on. The final shot each week would be the the the director yelling “action” for the taping. Each week would focus on different parts of the process, writing the script, casting the supporting players, the network brass, etc. ---

**Friar Ted** Sadly, it’s one of the many uncompleted projects on my list of strange things I must create. If I ever do get an episode done, I’ll probably convert it to a file and share it with the world. I doubt I’d make very much selling tapes, and the more exposure it gets the more chance there is of my having a network pick up the show. ---

The only problem I can see is that after one season eventually you may run out of ideas. Surely not every single one of those 2000 people had an interesting story that interestingly interwieved with other people’s. Perhaps each season could focus on a different disaster? I would like to see a worm’s eye view of the star trek universe. Instead of a top of the line ship with a higly trained crew, the show is set on an ancient freighter doing the worst jobs with outdated equipment and bottom of their class officers. The captain is an alien- a really alien alien. A blob of goo in a tank wired into the captain’s console, with a speaker for issuing orders. The crew is essentially leaderless- although they can never figure out if the blob is totally clueless or incredibly brilliant. Second idea- Survivor for real: People are dumped on an island WITHOUT backup. No stupid challenges, no voting off, no food, no medical care, no help at all (but you can quit and be evaced at any time). After a few months, viewers vote to choose the person who recieves the prize. For more fun, do the same thing to people kidnapped at random and don’t tell them what’s going on.
