The Church-mainly because their catalogue is varied enough in terms of styles to continue to keep me entertained, and that I am still deciphering their lyrics even after 30 years of listening to them. ---

Scorpions. As well as headbanging metal, they’ve done ballads, an acoustic album, and an album with the Berlin Philharmonic. Some of their songs are excellent workout music. And unlike some similar bands, their lyrics are often upbeat rather than angry or depressing. And [Wind of Change](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjFsZj1aHow&feature=relmfu) still makes me shiver and tear up, reminding me that anything - _anything_ - can happen. ---

Just the thought of this is absolutely depressing. I’m not even sure I’d like to entertain the idea, but I will give it a try – The Magnetic Fields or Paul Simon…for their beautifully and witty lyrics, and for their terrific styles and melodies. Ok, phew, I’m glad that’s over…now back to reality and a wide variety of music! ---
