You know, I’m not gay either, but as soon as the GLBT community gains full equality, you can bet your ass that I’ll be crying over that as well. It has to do with humans overcoming a vast struggle and ending up triumphant against the odds. As **Oakminster** suggests, if you don’t understand that, I doubt there’s anything we could say to enlighten you. ---

I saw ninety year old African American men and women who weren’t allowed to vote as young adults crying because after decades of struggles that included incredible violence, they saw one of their own earn the trust and respect of the entire nation as their leader. They cried for the millions of people who fought for that to happen, and I cried for them. ---

I guess I’m a pansy. I cried when it became more and more clear that my right to be able to get married was being taken away. But whatever, for something that dramatically and immediately has a negative effect on my life I’m willing to cry and be thought of as a pansy by some moron on a message board. ---
