We go to Ah Dong’s in Hartford for stuff like noodles and other non US ingredients. We also get rice based spirals, linguine, elbows and farfalle to use instead of wheat based pasta so we can cook for a couple friends who have celiac and IBS. ---

I have lived in the US all my life and am half Ramen Noodle. Although my mom still tells stories of the prejudice she encountered raising a package of Oriental Flavored Ramen Noodles, I can thankfully say that the bigotry seems to be the product of a different time. The vast majority of people I meet today are very accepting of my noodleness. ---

I used to like Oriental flavoured ramen but then I found I was hungry again ten or fifteen minutes later. This wasn’t a problem when I was a much younger man. Sometimes I might get up and have more six or seven times a night. But nowadays once is usually enough. ---

I get the Oriental flavor and add green onions, an egg, shrimp, a dash of sesame oil and sirriachi. That doesn’t work with the other flavors. So, i’m really tastist I guess. ---
