Jesus Christ, this isn’t Great Debates. I’m tired of seeing doper on doper violence when the OP is ranting about someone or something totally unrelated to the boards or other posters. Have you guys forgotten the simple little “gotta blow this steam off” rant? It seems like everytime someone comes along and feels the need to say “Fuck X” someone else has to butt in and say “No, fuck YOU!” and then the horses are out of the gate and the debate rages on. It is of course understandable sometimes. For instance if someone says “God I hate black people” then the flamewar is rightfully on. I usually don’t bother with those threads but I can completely understand why some people do. However, if someone says “God I hate my co-workers!” why would you want to flame the OP? You don’t even know his co-workers! I understand this is the pit and therefore the proper place for things like this but most of these arguements end up completely hijacking the OP and many of them flat out belong in GD or in a seperate thread. I’m not trying to be a moderator here and I’m not asking anyone to change anything, this is just my own little rant because I’ve noticed that pit threads are increasingly turning into debates wherein people pick apart bit by bit posts that were basically meaningless in the first place. ---
