I agree with the OP. Unless the rant in question is something generally offensive (“I hate black people!”), targets you personally (“I hate YOU!”) or is factually incorrect (“I hate Snapple 'cause they’re owned by the KKK!”), then leave the OP alone to rant in peace. Yeah, you have the right to tell someone their rant sucks. Big fucking deal. Just because you have the right to be an asshole doesn’t mean you have to exercise it.
