My choices are so insanely boring… I currently drive a CR/V. I like the height (I have trouble getting into and out of my husband’s Civic). It’s comfortable. It gives me good visibility on the highway. It can handle pretty much anything we need to do around town, and shorter family road trips (we rent minivans for the rarer longer trip). It’s missing a few features (then again it’s 11 years old) that I’d like, that would be found in a newer one. So, a newer version, or perhaps the Acura version. An electric car (Tesla or whatever) for tootling around town - the SUV would be for longer trips. And a class B or class C RV (presumably one with the ability to tow that Tesla) :D. Or maybe a Segway (does that count?). Sports cars etc, meh. I live in the DC area and you can’t let one of those go wide open on the Beltway, so it’s a waste. Plus they tend to be low-slung which is a complete no-go (see Civic, above). I once went to the Rolls Royce web page and played around with configuring my very own conspicuous-consumption-mobile. It was fun… but a modern RR looks so bland and boring, so I think I’ll pass. ---

My choices [ul] [li] A Tesla Model X - For local trips and errands.[/li][li]A VW Atlas for longer trips and pulling the camper.[/li][li]A '73 VW Karmann-Ghia for fun and nostalgia. - Though some modifications might be needed to make it less of a deathtrap.[/li][/ul] ---

BMW 4 series hard topped convertable. Drive up and down the coats during nice weather. A Landrover (not range rover) or a Hummer 1. To fulfil various macho fantasies. A Volvo 90S for just drivng around. Some luxury without looking like a rich asshole (which the BMW might do, admittedly) Weird alternative, but not to drive very often: a VW Thing, fully restored. ---

For those who have a BMW on their list, please pay the several thousand dollars extra for working turn signals. I mean, that must be a hella expensive option on Bimmers, 'cause the one around here never seem to have them… 😉 ---

1. McLaren F1. I love more recent McLarens, but the F1 is special to me because the first time I saw it, my heart skipped a beat, and I’ve wanted one ever since (that was about 1996). 2. Jag E-Type. Simply gorgeous. 3. 1976 Corvette T-top in orange. I knew a guy who bought one brand new, and it was just a spectacular sight for my 14-year old eyes. Runners up include a 1968 Corvette Mako Shark, a Triumph TR3, and a 1947 MG TC. And a 1972-ish BMW 2002. Gotta have a 2002. With a hand-cranked sunroof. In dark green. ---
