On Wednesday’s, purple jumped right out at me immediately, and blue felt like it should have been purple. And I also think that blue was inaccurate on one of the words. ---

My rationale for purple was ”Hey, Eugene and Orlando are cities! And Guthrie and Butler also look like people’s last names, so I’m going for it.” sometimes that works. ---

That’s how I got purple, too. The detailed connection, I had no clue of. And the first thing I saw was three of the four blues, but I only got the last by process of elimination. Though having those three made me a lot more confident of the purple that I was iffy on. ---

I got a purple first for the puzzle, and that’s exactly the logic I came to. Two of the answers are, to me, completely obscure and not anything I had heard of. ---
