Same here. Though maybe things in a junk drawer or a student’s backpack. Don’t think I would have got the purple category since I had never hear of a silk road. ---

The term a retronym not coined until the late 19th century. The trade routes were never called that when they were active. It’s also a modern dark web marketplace site for drugs and other contraband. ---

I also got green last, and correctly got the categories in the same order you did. I figured out the connection before submitting the last one but I guessed in order: things you buy at the cash register when you’re checking out (the correct reason), but maybe things you buy at the 7-Eleven/gas station, because, like you, my supermarkets don’t really have charging cables at the checkout lanes (or at all), but the 7-Elevens and gas stations pretty much all do. ETA: Though, looking at the category again, it doesn’t specify grocery store, so I guess all three of my answers are the same thing. ---

I understand that people don’t want to give the puzzles away to anyone who hasn’t played them uet, and spoiler tags are kind of a hassle, but I sometimes find the discussion here frustrating. I tend to forget the answers five minutes after solving. I’m on about a two-week winning streak, but I’ll be damned if I can remember which color I got first today, or what the connections were. ---

I’m not sure what the solution to that is, especially since the new puzzle starts at midnight locally. I agree that it’s awkward. ---

If you go back to the puzzle, you can click on ‘View Results’ on the bottom of the screen. It will show you the steps you took that day. May or may not be what you’re looking for. ---

If you’re willing to change the time zone on your computer, you can do the Connections puzzle (as well as Wordle and Strands) for tomorrow. Just change to a time zone that has already passed midnight. ---
