Still on Wednesday: Connections Puzzle #808 πŸŸͺπŸŸͺπŸŸͺπŸŸͺ 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩 That was … odd. Like the easiest one I’ve seen yet. Connections Bot did score it a 1/5 difficulty, with a 96% completion rate. ---

Yes I used to be able to get ConnectionsBot to run in incognito mode, but now, even there, I get the paywall. ---

I haven’t done the puzzle yet, but whenever I see a word like that that is a bit obscure, it’s a giant flag that it is not being used for its meaning, but for its parts and is often a purple. It could be part of a letter substitution, be broken in two, rhyme, etc., but knowing the meaning is incidental. I had a quick glance (I do the puzzle later with my daughter) and I see what’s going on. Yeah, I tend to dislike them because they make the puzzle easy. ---

This is a little bit of a side topic but if you enjoy Connections you should look into the game Things in Rings. It’s not exactly the same but similar. It’s about finding connections between words using Venn Diagrams. ---
