# If you mute a thread, are you (also) not allowed to say you have outside the Pit?

You have to be very careful to not insult the poster in question. Basically if you feel the need to talk about it try the [What were you THINKING?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/what-were-you-thinking/991532/6092) thread. There is little reason to bring it up that I can think of.
