what would you do as all the helicopters and cameras were on you? I think I’d have to start by getting gas on the beltway and complaining about prices. I would also considering busting a couple of donuts out of the airport parking lot. ---

I would put aside politics, and conduct myself in as professional a manner as possible, given the solemnity, tradition, and dignity involved in a State Funeral. YMMV, obviously. ---

Well, considering that Reaganomics cost me my house and pretty much everything I owned, I’d probably be smiling broadly, in a dignified and solemn manner of course. ---

Because Nancy Reagan would be right there. And such unexpected vehicular movements wouldn’t be interpreted well by the heavily armed Secret Service agents travelling with her. I drove a car once in George H.W. Bush’s motorcade, when he was President. The car carried press people. I was warned explicitly by the Secret Service to keep up with the motorcade and not to make any sudden movements, otherwise I’d be considered a threat. ---

There’s a good chance the fact you need to sit on a Yellow Pages to see over the dashboard is going to tip them off to the fact you’ve yet to complete Driver’s Ed and they’re going to put an abrupt end to your foolishness. Sorry to rain on your misadventure.
