# If you were hungry enough, would you eat your own pets?

No, but only because I think that, on some fundamental level, I wouldn’t recognize my cat as “food” even when starving.

That, and she could totally kick my ass in a fight.

I could eat them, but only if someone else killed them for me, or they died on their own. I don’t think I could kill a pet–too much of a psychological block against it.

(I don’t own any pets right now anyway.)

I don’t have a dog, but my mother does. I’d eat that thing in a heartbeat. And if I couldn’t finish it all, I’d save some in a doggie bag for later.
