Anyway, I agree with the OP that anything from Sam Adams would be an excellent choice in this case. Also good would be something from the [Dogfish Head](http://www.dogfish.com/)which is brewed not far from DC in Milton, Delaware. However, Dogfish Head beers generally have higher than average alcohol content and that might seen as a problem. ---

How about “Big Bear”? It would be a great shout out to us hosers in Canada. It might also add to the public health care debate as he very well might have no stomach lining left after drinking it. ---

Well if you want to talk about offering asylum to an oppressed minority, then sure, but to be honest what country can you buy anything from without feeling guilty? Iceland? Most of the stuff we buy is from China, and I hate to say it but China is a far worse human rights offender than Jamaica. I just don’t understand how hurting the bottom line of people living in a third world country really makes the point. When they get laid off do you honestly think that they associate it with their homophobia? “If only I’d been nicer to my gay son, I wouldn’t have lost my job at the Red Stripe bottler.” As it regards Skip Gates, the African American activist community seems to have made it pretty clear that homosexual rights and African American civil rights are not the same issue to them. ---
