Iā€™d put down some nice Red Tail, but Iā€™m sure Fox News would find some way to twist the fact that itā€™s from California into a reason why Iā€™m not a real American and should be ousted from office. ---

Not being a drinker, Iā€™d probably go for an IBC Root Beer. Of course, then the conservative talk shows would be all about how Iā€™m some elitist moral policeman who wants to bring back Prohibition and canā€™t hold my liquor like a real American. ---

No love for Harpoon? They brew in Boston, and are one of the bigger regional names around here. Their summer ale is damn tasty, and my current favorite out of the (admittedly limited) selection at the nearby liquor stores. But yeah, I figured that Obama would have picked Sam Adams as the safe choice, for all of the reasons listed above. Itā€™s quality, but not too fancy, and just about as ā€œeliteā€ as Red Stripe or Blue Moon. ---
