If I had enough income to quit, I certainly wouldn’t be working here anymore but I might work somewhere. Being a substitute teacher might be nice.
If I won a mere $10M or so I’d stay until I was sure that I could afford health insurance and a good standard of living from my investments.
I’ve got a family medical history chock-full of cancer and heart disease. My wife’s been free of cancer for a mere 3 years. It’s possible that I might have to work part-time at a job that offers full-time benefits, taking their top tier of health care and not caring if that left me with $1/week takehome.
$ 50M or better, and I’d be off like a shot!
Curiously, I might stay on a while at my part-time job delivering bi-weekly publications to 140 diverse locations; just to stay in contact with real people.
My “real job” consists of the Vampire Shift in a university steam/ AC plant where I interact with a mere handful of people–and the same people every night. If I did any work at all after winning enough to pay for good insurance , it would be the 4-day-per-month day job for sure.
Hey Tom! Tom Jode! Where you been, man? I haven’t seen you since California.
Look man, Rage Against The Machine wrote a song about me, and I had to lay real low for a while until the embarrassment blew over.
