I wanted to be either Helen Reddy or a princess. I knew all of the words to “I Am Woman”! And, I would daydream all day about getting to wear pretty dresses, having long hair, and wearing crowns. Prince Charming would always be rescuing me from dragons and witches and such. Hmmm…I was a confused child. Come to think of it, I’m still just as confused. 😃 ---

A school bus driver. When I was in kindergarden, we had one driver in the morning, and a different one after school. I was convinced that busdrivers got paid for only working an hour a day. Course, they might have…but in my mind, the pay was a lot more glamourous than it really was. I also liked the loudspeaker. ---

I wanted to be a gymnast. And I followed this dream until I was 14, and unfortunately started growing until I hit my present 5’10". Now all I do are a couple of handsprings on the lawn when I’m drunk enough. ---

I would own two doggies and a cat, have a ten year old brother… (I really thought that lump in mom’s tummy would grow up to be my OLDER brother) and I would live with Smokey the Bear. In what sort of paid capacity is unclear, Id either look after him or write his comic books, or draw them… something… Much I beilieve to everyones relief I didnt actually want to marry him. I was going to marry the paperboy… because he was 10 years old. ---

I would be a lottery winner. Actually, since I wanted to win it _then_, I’d probably be where I am now, but with a great stash of kid’s toys laying around somewhere.\* And since I forgot if the OP said birthday wishes specifically, my dad would also still be alive (not to mention immortal). I wanted six kids. The oldest would be named Elizabeth (now, I don’t have a problem with the name Elizabeth, per se, but there’s no way I’d ever name my kid that now). I don’t remember the others’ names, but I had them all named. I was going to have them with my “boyfriend” of the time, a kid in my class named Andrew. My mother was highly amused by this and has written about it in form letters to family (thankfully she doesn’t write those often). I wanted a little brother. My neighbor down the street who was my age had just gotten a little brother and I wanted one too. We got a dog. I don’t remember much else except that I really liked Fraggle Rock. ---

As my username suggests, a race car driver. My dad quit driving race cars about the time I turned 4. I used to go climb in his race car and pretend I was driving. Since I did get to drive race cars later, you could say my 4 year old dreams came true. ---
