They charge you for all the changes you make anyways. And they by law make at least minimum wage. Plus, I already get gypped\* having to pay for the bun I don’t get. \*Sorry, but there’s no other word that means the same thing. All the synonyms are too strong. ---

I don’t get it either… What does the OP mean by “we like cold sides” and “not enough chicken to make a meal”. How much chicken do you need for a meal? Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just order a 3 piece meal than tip money on whatever you are doing. I consider myself a pretty good tipper, but I’ve never tipped a fast food place. I might if I was making a huge complicated order or something - but I can’t imagine that ever happening. I wouldn’t have the balls to order 20 orders of fries, but I just want the raw potatoes or something 🙂 ---

There’s a helluva difference between: “Hi, can I get a cheeseburger, please, and hold the pickles.” “Wanna make that a combo with fries and a drink?” “No, thank you.” ~ and ~ "Hi, can I get a cheeseburger, no pickles, and the barbecue sauce that you only use on the other sandwich, and instead of coming with fries can I get corn on the cob, but I want no butter on the corn. Got that? No butter … " ---

I’m another who doesn’t understand the premise of the question. I’ve never been to a fast food restaurant where you couldn’t order everything individually. The meals are advertised in huge signs because they’re upselling you, not because you _have_ to get sides and a drink. ---
