The multicolored buttons are function keys that have arcane uses like toggling between views on certain sports broadcasts.
The number keys can be programmed to be quick short cuts for streaming services not on the remote. I mentioned upthread that my remote has a Netflix and a Prime button. I could program 1 to be Max, 2 to be YouTube, etc.
That’s a relief to finally know how to program the fast access to apps on LG remotes. I mentioned above that it has dedicated buttons for Netflix and Prime, and I’ve been wishing for buttons for Hulu and the others. My life is now so much better!!!

Generally we watch Hulu, Netflix and Prime.
TV 1: Remote has Netflix and Prime. So, it’s one of these two, or the one above them to go to Hulu. And occasionally I accidentally hit a button and it leaves what I’m watching and goes elsewhere.
TV 2. Because of the thread I checked to see if it had any. It’s Roku. It has Prime and three that I don’t use. So, I could use it for Prime, but don’t.
