Biden’s always come across as experienced and quietly competent, pretty much the opposite of W and the _polar_ opposite of Palin. He’s mainly differentiated from McCain by not having the neocons’ hands up his ass. He’s a way to balance the ticket when compared to the inexperienced but much more charismatic Obama and I think he’ll be a background presence in the Obama administration.
