Well I’m glad that lovers of The Last Dragon can at last come out and unite with each other. That movie is one of my all-time favorites. One scene I’m sure yall will appreciate in particular is when Brue LeeRoy’s little brother frees himself from the ropes that bind him by steadfastly “popping and locking”. Cracks me up every time I think about. But black litmus tests aside, where are all the black dopers? I would like to have at least one thread about blacks on the SDMB that doesn’t runneth over with hostility and controversy. By the way, **MrMyth** is right. **Dolemite** was great; especially the sequel, **The Human Tornado**. Rudy Ray Moore is so over the top in that one it is ridiculous. If we’re talking blaxploitation, **Shaft** is the best, but **Superfly** gets an honorable mention. Plus, Curtis Mayfield’s **Superfly** soundtrack is much better than Isaac Hayes’ acclaimed **Shaft** soundtrack. While I like the **Shaft** soundtrack, **Superfly** stands by itself as more than a soundtrack. The **Superfly** soundtrack, without a movie to accompany it, would be an incredible album by itself. Of course, that’s just one white guy’s opinion 😉 For more information on Curtis Mayfield and Isaac Hayes, consult your local library!!! Of course, I should add that the Wayans Brothers’ parody of blaxploitation, **I’m Gonna Get You Sucka** , is also great. I still crack up thinking about the fight scene with the stunt double in the diner 😃 ---
