My checkbook is completely balanced and there is money in my account. The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous every day. I have finished my dreaded spring cleaning. The two women I work with who hate me are leaving. I am madly in love with the most wonderful man I have ever known…and he loves me too. Are you happy? If so, post here–tell me about it! Joy. Pure, unmitigated, unrefined, unrestrained joy. Since I’ve posted enough about my dark times, I suppose I should post when I have times like these now. I wake up in the mornings actually happy to get up and going in the morning. Driving to work, I’ve got the cassette deck going full blast and I’m singing at the top of my lungs along to the music. People are starting to look at me like I’m crazy at work. Absolutely nuts, because I’m actually dancing and floating through the day. I’m breaking every speed limit in the book just because I feel so good. I am a danger to both myself and society. And I love you too, Beth. ---

Well, I’m _un_happy about many things, but I’ve always considered those trivial, and being my own reclusive self, I usually keep those to myself. There are several things that I’m happy about, however… my best friend has a new girlfriend, so he’s managed to pull himself out of his little funk. I’ll be submitting a large piece of inked artwork to a student art show, and it’s almost guaranteed to get in. I’ve got things to draw, ideas for stories to write, and even enough motivation to begin working on my screenplay again. I have a cable modem. I have a rather large website with a shitload of material on it… if you told me that I’d have it like this a year ago, I’d have called you a liar. The semester is almost over, which means I’m one step away from auditions for the summer play, _Wizard of Oz_. I’m a depressing git, most of the time, but I think it’s all just an act. ---

There are beers that go with chocolate. There are even beers that have chocolate in them (no, really).Most beer though, does not go with chocolate. Anyway, to the topic in hand: I’m happy because I’m doing well at work. I’m happy because I’m in love with a wonderful man and he’s in love with me I’m happy because, further to the last point, we’ve started to really communicate deeply about our feelings. I’m happy because I baked a good chocolate cake last week. I’m happy because the sun is out and I’ll be eating lunch outside today. I’m happy because the free CDs I got with my music magazine are VERY GOOD. ---

I’m getting a new job. The old boss was going through personal problems which caused the entire office to mellt down. The new job is with a very high end firm, so career wise it is like winning the lottery. I’m pretty happy about the move. ---

I’m very, _very_ happy that two close friends of mine have found each other against unimaginable odds. And I’m also very happy that two other friends seem to be heading in that exact direction! I’m happy that my best friend decided at the last minute NOT to go to Phantasialand (Germany) yesterday. A rollercoaster burned down, injuring over 30 people! I’m happy because I’ve got my second motor bike lesson next saturday. 😉 ---

I’m happy that **evilbeth** and **Eutychus55** are happy – hey, both of you, that’s wonderful! I’m happy that some really fine people from this board have been e-mailing me, and that it looks like I helped brighten their lives. Even if it’s just a little bit. I’m happy I’m alive, that I can get out of bed, out of the house, and out into the brilliant morning sun (when it stops raining, that is. But right now, even the rain is cool.) I’m happy I’m posting to the SDMB. Even if my posts may be crap 90% of the time, I’m happy. I told myself that I’d post to this topic even if it kills me. But damn, if it hasn’t caught me in a down swing. Looking at everyone’s post I have come up with a few. 1. evilbeth and Eutychus55, extremely cool - that alone makes me smile a bit. 2. Hey I got ‘some’ this weekend too; some freaky, crazy stuff even. So how bad can the world be if you are trying out new and fun things? (Ever stop to concider how cool it is when you’re down on you’re cash, but you’re still able to have sex fairly regularly? It’s pretty damn cool. It’s like growing your own food in a garden; getting something for free that others are paying for.) 3. Yo’ Opal! 4. Building off of #2, my girlfriend is great. Beyond the beast-with-two-backs thing. A very supportive person with a great mind (+ easy on the eyes too!). Oh crap, evilbeth. Look now I’m in a better mood… thanks ~t ---

I’m pretty sure I’m the one with the right end of the stick here: **evilbeth** and **Eutychus55** are married to entirely separate individuals, and are in love with their respective spouses. They are **virtually** married in the **virtual SDMB wedding** sense. Euty’s post at the top of this thread was a joke in the context of the existing virtual marriage scenario. Am I not right?
