[Text here should not appear on mouseover.] This is what you should see on mouseover. This ought to be spoilered. [Does this even work?] [How about this?] This should be legible.

Now, which of these does the mouseover show?

So, apparently, text in [spoiler]-tags shows up on mouseover, text between brackets does not, spoiler tags between brackets does, bracketed text in spoiler tags doesn’t appear in mouseover and is spoilered in the post. For what it’s worth.

Interesting that the floating open bracket does not show up but the close bracket does.
