Not only could Flatlined have been killed, the bint with the phone came very close to ruining an innocent (and thankfully good) driver’s life my causing him to run over a downed biker. The bint also caused harm and damage to the other car in front of her, not much has been said about that. It wasn’t just a fenderbender, it was a nearly criminal act of negligence. I think blowing off steam on an anonymous message board is a pretty mild reaction to being in the middle of all that. Oh, and fwiw, I’m a woman and have no horrible associations with the word bint. I’m in the US though, so ymmv. The C-word, however I will not use, and it does make me cringe. ---

I would be cautious of an early settlement with respect to any personal injuries until you are certain you don’t have any permanent or lingering injuries, which would mean waiting at least a year to settle that aspect of the claim. In the meantime, get whatever treatment you need, including physical therapy, and track every penny of expense. Best of luck. ---

Well, dang. I’m kinda disappointed that **Naive** is gone. I was going to call the bint a wahini or arachnida just for him. Too bad he didn’t manage to find the Workplace Griping thread, because if he figured out why I call my annoying clerk Jane, his head would have asploded for real. Knows that the rest of you already got the reference, but just in case **Naive** looks again… Jane, you ignorant slut! Today I bought new boots. I like my old battered boots and the scuffs from the accident just made them more attractive to old school bikers, but the leather was pretty thin on the left one and my foot got cold yesterday. Holy cow! I forgot how much Harley garb costs. For the record, I don’t buy Harley gear because of the name, I buy it because its really good riding gear. Not only did I pay almost 300 bucks for a pair of boots (comfy, well fitting out of the box boots…with wide toecaps and an aggressive sole), after I tossed the bling away, I counted the brands and each boot has 13 HD marks. Overkill, anyone? ---

Overkill, anyone? Can I suggest Labonville, which has both kevlar and steel cap (more of a logger) (ebay $200+) or firemens boots which also have kevlar, such as Pro-Warrington? Thorogood is also a good brand as is Matterhorn. These are all more than riding boots, they are foot-armor.
