What kind should I get you?
One featuring puppies? Dogs? A specific breed of dog?
Or maybe a lighthouses calendar is your thing. Or a “Nature’s fierce weather” one.
A celebrity or TV show-inspired one, maybe?
Or just a random “Hot guy/girl model” one?
Scenic views? Horses? Waterfalls? Classic cars?
FARM EQUIPMENT?!
The possibilities are endless.

Does it have to be a wall calendar? I prefer the kind that lay flat on my desk, with large blocks for each date, suitable for writing in appointments, court dates, deadlines, etc. The one I have for 2014 has the Saints logo on it, but a plain one is fine.

Something with art nouveau paintings, or maybe art deco travel posters. Groovy band posters from the 60s are cool. Old product advertisements - say coca-cola ads from the 50s. Pin-up girls from the 50s are also excellent.
I mostly just want some pretty art to look at.

Those great ads from comic books in the 1950’s - where you could get cool X-Ray vision glasses, sell Grit magazine, buy stamps, get magic tricks and fake dog poop, and all the other fun stuff kids sent off for and were usually greatly disappointed when said item arrived.

It’s actually kind of cool. The friend is a little strange, but he’s kind of cool too.
Personally, I want a Dilbert calendar. Or a German Shepherd calendar. Or a thoroughbred racehorse calendar.

I usually get the Boris Vallejo fantasy calendar. Recently, I discovered The Women of Marvel Comics calendars, and am enjoying. But I’m not picky; some nice Ansel Adams, or scenes from the Apollo Program, or English Country Gardens. It’s all just an excuse for something pretty, new once a month.
