I got a blank look. Apparently my nine-year-old niece has never seen The Wizard of Oz. I told my brother that he was a bad father. Is he? Is Oz out of date? ---

No and no. It still holds up, but I wouldn’t necessarily expect a nine year old to have watched it, with all the other stuff that’s out there. Now, if she were 20 and had never seen it, then I’d be a little wary. ---

I never liked OZ, even as a kid. They used to show it ever Easter. ---

Bah, Oz scared the crap out of me as a kid. Not because of the witch, but because of the angry talking trees, and the fact that there was always movement in the background. ---

Yeah she might be too sensitive for it at 9. I bet I didn’t see it until I was a bit older too. My step-grandma didn’t see it until she was in her 70s. But she was raised Amish then was busy seeing the world after she left the order, so I give her a pass on it. ---

And the hanged munchkin 😉 I dunno, I haven’t shown it to my 6-yo, and she has seen \*Labyrinth \*, _Nightmare Before Christmas_ and _Princess Bride_ (but got rapidly bored at _Star Wars_ :eek: ---

Judging by the near-constant stream of people who think it’s clever (_clever!_) to list three related nouns and then add “Oh, My!,” I guess not. That’s the out-of-date part. It was out of date **seventy years ago**. Knock it off. ---
