I’m not talking about “all issues”, I’m talking about this one; and I think of all people who answered “appearance of racism is a bigger problem than racism”, the root cause is much more likely to be ignorance about how much racism there is rather than outright bigotry. But maybe I’m just sheltered here in California. ---

The implication of the claim is that people–specifically, let’s be honest, **Black** people–are claiming there’s racism where there isn’t racism. I don’t see “ignorance” as the root of that unless we’re talking about willful ignorance. ---

The only magas I know and used to love were all about mocking Biden and Obama, and braying loudly in favor of the offensive nasty man potus(piece of totalitarian unhinged shit). Amongst these fine people is one who herself needed an abortion in the 80’s for an inconvenient pregnancy when she was 19. TBT her dad would disown her and her date rapist was a petty criminal womanizer. Her body her choice. Now? She’s all in on abortion rollbacks, and if her mom were alive her green card status might be questioned and my friend the anchor baby could have to go back where they came from. I mean that’s what these magas and anyone who voted turd party really want. ---

I too will keep my Trump voting cousin, brother, and his in-laws. At arm’s length. Somewhere along the line, while I was evolving into a more liberal mindset in ass backward Floriduh, my family devolved into Republicans. I’m mostly sure they’re not outright, consciously homophobic, racist or misogynist but they put their money before their morals and I’m not sure they’ll ever win back my respect. I’ll still be kind, still keep them in my life, but something has been lost and it breaks my heart that my few remaining family members have turned into people I don’t really want to know anymore.
