I'm a Fellow! No really, now it's official!

Don’t forget to tell all your patients. I’m certain that they will be appropriate impressed to hear that their doctor is now a fellow. Maybe they’ll bake you a cake…

Yay Qad!

It does give a certain extra feeling of achievement when you’ve battled the bottle and won. All those things you figured at one time in your life were un-achievable, and yet, here you are.

Keep up the good works.

Is that because of all the years you have spent treating members of… The Family?

Congratulations Qadgop!

And what about his practice outside of the SDMB?

Congrats to Dr. QtM

Good Tidings indeed on your becoming an Atan númenya ettele istima nosse elessan.

Jim {Q: Very rough translation}man/atan ; western/númenya; lands(outer)/ettele; learned/ngóla,istima; family/nosse; heal/elessa

That’s just excellent! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer fellow.

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Qadgop!

I cannot add much except: Congratulations, Doc!

Your patients are lucky to have you around (and so are we).

Like others, my first thought at reading the OP was Since when is Quadgop a family physician?

Congrats on joining the Fellowship!

Mucho congratulations, Doc Mercotan! I’m so happy for you!!!

Well, all hail and well met, fellow!

Congrats–couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, er-fellow.

My dad is a long time member of the AAFP. Just last week he was complaining about the total lack of shiv injury knowledge in the AAFP. Serindipity man, serindipity.

Let me add another Congrats  You deserve it.

Heh. If I really got what I deserved, I’d be in prison…

Oh, wait. I am.

Never mind!

And yes, I do treat the “Family” here in the pen. Not just in the Godfather sense, but we’ve had father/son teams here, along with siblings, cousins, and one husband/wife team that moved thru once. And I treat 'em as young as 16 which is technically pediatrics. The occasional pregnant patient at the women’s center, too.

and Jim, “Man of the West from the outer lands has knowledge and a family sword”?

Best I could do on the fly with an online Quenya to English Dictionary.
Atan númenya ettele istima nosse elessan
Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians

man/atan for Fellow
western/númenya & lands(outer)/ettele for American
learned/ngóla,istima for Academy (very weak usage)
family/nosse for Family
heal/elessa added ‘n’ to be Healer for Doctor

Jim

That’s pretty cool, QtM! Congrats!

Nice goin’!

So, did they give you this specail Ring to carry around that shows your a member of the fellowship?

Congrats, no doubt!

Hey congrats!

And I now know what the FAAP stands for after my doctor’s name!

Well done, Sir - I say Well Done.
