At least that’s the gist i take from Word A Day’s offering today, “disshabile” which they say is pronounced dis uh beel, or something like that. I’ve always pronounced it in the French manner, but i guess I’ve gotten called out as a francophone jerk. ---

They also spell it with 2 Ls and 1 S, which my phone won’t recognize as legit. ---

I am honestly more familiar with the spelling “déshabillé”. And it’s not being “a francophone jerk”, it’s “fluent in the language of courtly love”. ---
