# I'm a super-hero!

PiperCub and I were playing and he put his blanket over me. I asked why?

The Cub: “Because every super-hero needs a cape!”

Me: “I’m a super-hero?”

The Cub: “Yup!”

Me: “What kind of super-hero?”

The Cub: “Super-Daddy-Hero!”

Made my day! 😃

That great.

My wife and the kids are in Taiwan this week, and we were finally able to get a Skype video call in. My 18-month boy was jumping up and down, yelling “daddy!” in three languages (English, Japanese and Chinese).

Hah, you were lucky - I was expecting the answer “Super Dweeb” or whatever it is young people say these days…

Aren’t those moments awesome?  
About a year ago, my (then) 6-year-old nephew, a HUGE Dr. Who fan (he would introduce himself to strangers as ‘The Doctor’), told me that I -had- to get the sonic screwdriver that the Master used (yes, I know it’s a ‘laser screwdriver’ for the big M), so that I could be my nephew’s nemesis. His -nemesis-! I loved the idea!  
(Sadly, he’s now decided Dr. Who isn’t that fun, and is into model trains. Ah well.)

Especially since a while ago he told me I was “Yucky Man” - in context, that’s Pablo from Backyardigans, but still …
