# I'm afraid to ask but: How do they treat an erection that lasts for more than 4 hours?

Just so y’all know, when we (EMTs) suspect a broken neck on a man, one of the first things we look for is sprouting wood. If you have a busted neck and a raging boner, it’s almost a surefire indication that your spinal cord is injured, if not severed.
It’s also likely to be the last boner you’ll ever have.

Real question: are low-flow conditions sort of when you (the general you:)) have a cock ring on too long? Short of getting out the saw, do the same medical procedures apply?

You can still lose a boner with a cock ring on, even after 4 hours. It just makes it easier to keep an erection going.
