Is the purpose of this thread to mock **HandsomeGorrilla** and others with self-esteem issues? Just trying to understand if the OP is expecting others to pile on or if this is a lone wolf thread. It appears that this thread is in the wrong forum. ---

The purpose of the thread is to have fun and balance out all of the ‘SDMB as a stand-in for therapy’ posts lately. I’m not mocking HandsomeGorilla (though he could stand to lighten up and engage with the posters who are offering him good advice, instead of just reiterating his self-belief over and over). ---

OP, what you need is some sort of disability. There are many to choose from, physical and psychological. America loves the underdog. ---

I feel sorry for you. You’re missing out on all the fear, anxiety, and depression that is the backbone of life. You probably never enjoy the anticipation of rejection, or the joyous shame of inferiority. Perhaps counseling will help you lose your self esteem. ---

I’m with **MoonMoon**. Seems like an awful lot of folks on here should just up and get a Livejournal account already. The occasional post is fine but all the incessant woe is me crap gets old.
