Wallowed in self pity until my close friends were sick of it? Done that. Believed I’d grow old without ever being in a long-term relationship? That too. I’ve also been married for almost 20 years, helped raise two kids to near adulthood, and had a moderately successful career. Bad and good, I’ve done it. I understand both the woe is me posters and the I’m sick of the woe is me threads posters. Does that make me high, mighty, and sanctimonious? Or just one of a jillion?
