Survived. Actually, the games went wee, they were competitive and I didn’t make any major mistakes (minor ones come with the territory of refereeing anything). Today is the semifinals and finals/consolation games, so I’ll be back out there again. I think I got all the clocks reset, several reset themselves which makes my life easier. Got some sleep-in time today. All y’all have a good Sunday. ---

Afternoon all. I appear to be coming down with some form of lurgy, so I dunno if I should go to watch things go boom tonight, or if I’ll just sit in, in the warm, and watch them in the distance out the window. Felt OK earlier, then thought I’d just nip to the shops to get some bread and milk, being out of both, and came over all blurfy. It may have been because they were playing Christmas muzak. “Dooo they know it’s Christmas tiiime at all?” No, they don’t, because it isn’t, it’s the 5th of bloody November. ---

My bananas foster was not ignited as I have an electric stove and no desire to burn down the kitchen, but it did have rum. \*\*FCD \*\*said maybe a little less rum next time. I had a mostly successful grocery run, altho they didn’t have any more of the shrimp that was on sale, nor did they have the cottage cheese I like. I’ll check again tomorrow. But I’m good for lunches, etc, this week. Time to do some afghaning, methinks. ---

We just made an executive decision to take Taz and Ziva to the Cat Lodge when we go to FL for Christmas. It’ll cost only $2/day more than having them come to the house and they’ll get more attention than 1/2 hr per day. Then I’ll stop mail delivery while we’re gone and life will be good. We went for burgers for lunch so supper is grab whatever whenever. And the weekend winds down with a dreary Sunday. ---

We went to the dog park again today. When we came in, I wondered why so many small dogs were on the big dog side. Once we got through the gates, I knew. The only ones there were an old man with a verrrrrry yappy chihuahua and a shih tzu mux. He immediately snapped a leash on the chi, which made things worse. Nelson wouldn’t go near her by choice. The other dog was old and didn’t want to play. We hung around for about ten minutes when I started to get Nelson ready to leave. Fortunately, a kid came in with a corgi pup who wanted to play as much as my little guy did. They chased each other around for about half an hour. The old guy even let his chi off leash and she joined right in with no fuss. Nelson has been a sleepy puppy since we got home. 😃 ---

Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) wanted tempura chicken. I made that from some chicken breasts, and microwaved some cauliflower and broccoli. Last week I bought a [signal blenny](https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/fishkeeper-craft/uploads/goby-website-1421525714.jpg). I didn’t know that they only eat zooplankton they dig up from the sand. I tried several foods, and he is apparently eating a mixture of bottled zooplankton and tiny fish eggs. I use a large pipette to lay the mixture out on the sand. ---

Well, refereed seven soccer games in 33 hours and managed to extend my streak to seven years with having to do an overtime/penalty kicks game (the score was 2-1 when the team losing scored with 15 seconds left). Don’t think I did too bad, but 8-/9-year boys are a handful. And actually I feel pretty good, a bit stiff and some sore feet, but not as bad as I thought it would be. We’ll see what tomorrow will be like. **flytrap,** nice fish. They good eatin’? :eek:🆒😛 **Red,** glad the corgi came out to play–those dogs are inexhaustible. ---
