Good point, Zette, earlier when I first saw those threads (didn’t even open them… don’t care even that much) with 0 replies, I quietly said to myself, “I hope those stay at zero…” but my little incantations didn’t work. Oh well.

I use the double whammy approach:

Never post to those threads. If you are unsure as to which threads those are, ask yourself this: after reading them, do you :rolleyes: ? Do you sadly shake your head? Do you think “there went two minutes of my life I’ll never get back”? Then move right along without posting, for God’s sake.

Post a little more frequently to threads that don’t provoke the above reactions, even if you wouldn’t normally. It keeps the good (or at least the less ugly) topics near the top, and the bad ones at the bottom, or maybe even on the next page until some moderator in his or her infinite wisdom sees fit to drop a house on them.
Oh yeah, and :bump:
I’ve got an ingrown fingernail right now, and it HURTS LIKE HELL! It’s like the worst one I’ve ever had.
The only thing that I’ve found that helps was soaking it in warm salt-water, a suggestion from my Mom.

I loved American Beauty too, if I knew I could out a year like Kevin Spacey’s character did, I just might volunteer to die at the end of it.
Then again, I liked American Pie, too. Is that up for any Oscars?
