Hmm. When there was a break in at our storage locker the police interviewed me the next day, and I signed a statement. I was subpoenaed 4+ months later and when I called the county office, they scheduled a video deposition, which I did from home. May have been because of COVID, as I got the letter in August of 2020. The prosecution and a defense attorney were on the video call, and as I recall after taking the deposition they said “if we need you in court we’ll let you know”.
